These terms govern your use of gamersail.com (“Gamersail”, “we”, “us”). By using Gamersail you agree to them; if you don't, please don't use it.
The service
Gamersail is a free calendar of game releases and of what happens to games over their life, built from public sources. You need no account to use it. We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of it at any time, and may limit or block access for anyone who breaks these terms or puts the service at risk.
Information as it is
Release dates move, sources make mistakes, and the information here can be incomplete, out of date or wrong. Gamersail shows it as its sources give it, without any warranty, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Check with the publisher or the store before you rely on a date, for example to buy or pre-order a game.
Who may use it
You must be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or use Gamersail with a parent's or guardian's permission. Some of the games it lists are meant for adults.
Acceptable use
- Don't scrape or crawl Gamersail, or send automated requests, beyond what its robots.txt allows or in a way that burdens it.
- Don't copy or republish substantial parts of Gamersail's own work, such as its lists, its record of changes or the localized names it has researched, or use them to build another service, without our written permission. Linking to any page is welcome.
- Don't try to break or overload the site, or get around its security or limits.
- Don't use Gamersail for anything unlawful.
Our content and others'
Gamersail's design, code and text, and the way it selects, arranges and translates information, are ours. Game names, cover art, screenshots, videos, logos and trademarks belong to their owners and are shown to identify games and give information about them. Videos play in YouTube's player; by playing one you agree to be bound by YouTube's Terms of Service. We are not responsible for the sites Gamersail links to.
Liability
Gamersail is free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of it or your reliance on its information, such as a missed release, a purchase, or the site being unavailable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Corrections and takedowns
If something here is wrong, or you hold rights in something shown here and want it removed, write to hi@gamersail.com with the address of the page and what the problem is.
Privacy
How Gamersail handles information is described in its Privacy policy.
Changes
These terms may change. The current version is always on this page, with its effective date; using Gamersail after a change means you accept the new terms.
General
If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies. If we don't enforce a term at once, we can still enforce it later. These terms are written in English; any translation is for convenience, and where they differ the English version prevails.
